REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR MUNICIPAL SERVICE DELIVERY REVIEW

The Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands is currently seeking proposals from qualified candidates to conduct a Municipal Service Delivery Review.

The purpose of this review is to increase the understanding of the level of services our municipality currently provides and equip us with better information that will allow the community, staff and Council to make more informed, strategic choices regarding these services.

All proposals must be submitted to the Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands no later than 12:00pm (Noon) on April 10, 2020 (please note the original deadline was extended by 1 week)

The municipality will not necessarily accept the lowest price or any proposal. Should the Town of NEMI not receive any bid satisfactory in its sole and absolute discretion, the Town reserves the right to re-issue an RFP.

Request for Tender 

Little Current Lagoon Expansion

Contract 2020-7636

 

SEALED TENDERS, on the forms supplied, will be received at the Town of NEMI Offices until

 

Thursday, April 2nd, 2020 at 2:00 pm

 

For upgrades to the Little Current Lagoon including, but not limited to:

 

  • Construction of a new 50m x 40m wastewater lagoon with water control chamber
  • Construction of a new 8m x 5m blower building with lighting and HVAC
  • Construction of a new 4.5m x 3.5m chemical feed building with lighting and HVAC
  • Supply and installation of ferric sulfate injection panel with bulk and day storage tanks
  • Supply and installation of blowers and process air piping
  • Supply and installation of aeration system in new lagoon
  • Supply and installation of 400m of gravity sewer extensions with manholes to new lagoon and interconnecting piping
  • Installation of baffles for existing lagoons

Hard copies of tender documents can also be obtained by contacting the Greer Galloway Group. Documents will be made available for pick-up at the Greer Galloway Belleville Office or shipped via courier within Ontario upon receipt of a NON-REFUNDABLE fee of two hundred dollars ($200.00) payable to the Greer Galloway Group Inc. 
Documents will be available on or after Monday Feb. 24th, 2020.

 

A non-mandatory site meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 10th, 2020 at 10:00 am at the northeast corner of the Little Current lagoons, off Highway 540 and Boozeneck Road. 

 

The tender must be accompanied by an Agreement to Bond and a tender deposit in the form of a Certified Cheque or Bid Bond made payable to the Town of NEMI, in an amount not less than that specified in the Tender Documents.

 

The submitted tenders will be opened publicly at the Town of NEMI Office, 14 Water Street East, Little Current, Ontario immediately following the closing. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

Little Current Connecting Link & Watermain Replacement

Contract 2020-02

 

 

SEALED TENDERS, on the forms supplied, will be received at the Town of NEMI Offices until

 

Wednesday, April 1st, 2020 at 11:30 am

 

Tender includes the road rehabilitation of 960m of Manitowaning Road, 677m of Worthington Street and 437m of Meredith Street. Also included is road reconstruction of 244m of Meredith Street, with rural to urban upgrading between Walcot Street and Sim Street.

 

Tender also includes provisional watermain replacement for 245m of Worthington Street between Blake Street and Meredith Street, and provisional watermain and sanitary replacement on Meredith Street from Worthington Street to 137m east of the Meredith/Worthington intersection.

 

The work includes labour, material and equipment for the complete construction of the works.
