Official Plan Review and Amendment Proposal
The Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands is inviting proposals from qualified firms/consultants
for the provision of consulting services to develop a new Official Plan to replace the current version, as amended.
The objective of this project is to update the existing Official Plan by incorporating the latest policies from the Provincial Policy Statement 2020, along with any other relevant provincially approved legislation and policy documents.
The new Official Plan will outline a long-term vision for the Town, focusing on economic and sustainable growth, a strong, resilient, and vibrant community, while also prioritizing environmental stewardship.
A key component of this process will include consultation with Council, Staff, the public and community partners, to support engagement knowledge and to facilitate a successful implementation of the plan.
The information contained herein, is to facilitate the preparation of the Proponent’s Proposal submission.
