SUMMER STUDENTS
We have a number of positions available that will benefit you in the future by teaching the required skills to successfully interact with customers of all types, help further develop your communication skills and assist in gaining the knowledge in the operation of the work site of your choosing.
We have positions available at the following locations: The Centennial Museum of Sheguiandah, the Archaeological Site of Sheguiandah, Spider Bay Marina, Port of Little Current, Tourist Information Center and the Public Works Department
Each of these positions will provide the training required for you to be successful and to give you the best work experience possible.

Positions Available
Museum Assistant – Provide the general visiting public with historic information of the quaint Village of Sheguiandah and surrounding area, assist visitors with their inquiries and provide support for the museums’ community events, programs, and workshops.
Archaeological Site Tour Guide – The successful candidate for this position will need to have a zest for historical knowledge and the physical ability to provide regular, guided tours, as well as enjoy interacting with the public. We will provide extensive training for this position.
Spider Bay Marina/ Port of Little Current – Employees of these locations act as ambassadors to our Town, dock vessels and provide the best customer service to encourage out boating public to return year after year.
Public Works Department – the position is a physical, hands-on position, that will provide you with the training and skills to do traffic control, road patching, culvert installation and provide public services such as garbage pick up and other daily services that the Town provides.
Tourist Information Center – being located at the entrance to the Manitoulin Island this is a very busy center where tourists of all kinds come to find out about our beautiful Island and the best places to visit. This position requires great communication skills the willingness to help people with directions, accommodations and over all information.
