April 16, 2026 The public is advised that Townline Road and Limekiln Road are now open.
Rockville Road remains impassable (closed) at Newby's Bay until water levels on Lake Manitou receded. Lake Shore Road is closed.
Reminder: Significant Weather Event declaration remains in effect.
Due to the volumes of surface water and impeding rainfall, the Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands is maintaining its declaration of a Significant Weather Event.
Motorists and pedestrians are cautioned to avoid flowing water and exercise caution while utilizing municipal roads or sidewalks.
Crews continue to monitor and address this issue.
Also please be advised that Half Load remains in effect on all municipal roadways.
