SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENT

The Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands is declaring a Significant Weather Event effective immediately. As a result of the continuing rain and ice accumulation we are not be able to maintain the roads and sidewalks to our normal maintenance standards.
Pedestrians and motorists are advised to exercise extreme caution when moving throughout the municipality and to avoid travel throughout the municipality if possible.
Municipal staff will continue to work towards bringing the roads back up to municipal standards and the public will be notified via social media and our website when conditions improve and we are able to end the significant weather event.
