The Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands - the Gateway to Manitoulin and the North Channel- offers natural beauty both on and off shore, as well as a full range of modern retail businesses, services and accommodations to fulfill the needs of tourists, residents and marine visitors alike.
The Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands encompasses the Port of Little Current, the rural Howland area including the Hamlets of Sheguiandah and Honora, and the Island communities of McGregor Bay and the Bay of Islands.

The Port of Little Current has three fully equipped marinas, municipal docks docks, two full-size grocery stores, a national chain pharmacy and three banking institutions.

ATTRACTIONS
Visit one of our many lookouts featuring breathtaking views of the North Channel, LaCloche mountains, Killarney Park, and Georgian Bay. We have scenic trails for those looking for a leisurely stroll or a more rigorous outing, including the Cup and Saucer hiking trails - the highest point on Manitoulin Island.
Low Island Park- a great place for a family picnic! Featuring a NEW fully equipped playground, clean beach, swimming dock, baseball diamonds, soccer field, tennis court (coming in the fall of 2011), basketball court and concrete skateboard park. A great location to stroll while watching the boats traversing the North Channel!
Little Current Lions Club Haweater Weekend - don't miss this annual celebration every Civic Holiday weekend in August. Four days of family fun, sun, sports, music, dance, a parade with floats, a parade with boats and to wrap it all up a "Mammoth" Fireworks display!
Farmer's Market - local growers and artisans meet every Saturday morning in downtown Little Current to sell their wares and foodstuffs (summer only).
The Centennial Museum and Park - located on Highway 6 in Sheguiandah on the Museum property, this popular destination offers an interesting and unique look at the area's past. The museum includes artifacts from one of Canada's oldest archaeological sites, some of which are 9,500 years old. Enjoy your day in this lovely setting, which also features a NEW playground, picnic area and barbecue.
