Landfill Operations & Hours
The Town’s Landfill Site at 9571 Highway 6 is accessible at the following times:
All Year:
| Tuesdays & Saturdays: | 9:00 am to 3:00 pm excluding public holidays |
3rd Sunday of May to 3rd Sunday of October:
| Sunday: | 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm excluding public holidays |
Tipping Fees:
Unless previously authorized, all tipping fees shall be payable in cash at the time of delivery to the landfill site, as follows:

Household Hazardous Waste
Household Hazardous Waste Days are organized annually at the NEMI Landfill. Commercially generated hazardous waste, PCB’s, infectious, radioactive, and unknown wastes are not accepted.
For those who have accumulated paints, solvents, batteries and outdated pesticides, the Town will be hosting a HAZARDOUS WASTE DAY on July 14th 2012. That morning, from8am to 11am at the landfill site (9571 Hwy 6 south Little Current) municipal staff and a certified disposal team will accept specified hazardous waste. No commercial, infectious, radioactive or unknown materials please! Watch the local paper for more information.

Orange Drop is an industry-funded recycling program aimed at keeping hazardous and special waste materials out of Ontario’s landfills and waterways.
