Little Current Public School
Little Current Public School has approximately 400 students is located on Blake St. in Little Current. Students attending this school come from urban, rural and First Nation communities. At LCPS, first nations culture is valued and embraced by both students and teachers.
Manitoulin Secondary School
Manitoulin Secondary School (MSS) is located in M’Chigeeng, about 20mins drive from Little Current. MSS is one of two high schools serving Manitouln Island and is known for its strong academic and visual arts programs.
MSS is in the Rainbow District School Board which served Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin, and is the largest public school board in Northern Ontario with 38 elementary schools and 9 secondary schools offering programs in English, core French and French immersion. All schools have a variety of quality programs and character education enabling students to maximize their potential. Programs such as Roots of Empathy, RespectED and co-operative education, including the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program enrich academic experiences and personal growth. Continuing and Alternative education services are also offered.

Cambrian College has a satellite campus in downtown Little Current that offers a wide array of class’s…right from our own back yard!

Manitoulin Family Resources
Manitoulin Family Resources is active in a number of community networks and initiatives related to preventing violence against women and children, promoting social and economic equality and supporting children and families in good health, early learning and play.
Children's Services programs include: Manitoulin Best Start Hub, Home Child Care, Magic Rainbow Day Care, and Child Witness Program (Building Bridges).
Violence Against Women programs include: Haven House Shelter, 24-Hour Crisis Line, counselling and outreach services, transitional and housing support, sexual assault counselling, court support, and Child Witness Program (Building Bridges).
The Manitoulin Community Help Centre program provides relief to Manitoulin Island families struggling with limited means, through its food bank and clothing depot.
