Educational Programming at the Centennial Museum
The Centennial Museum of Sheguiandah helps make history hands-on and fun for your classroom and learners of all ages! Visit the museum and have our staff customize a program specifically for your class or try one of our programs below.

Pioneer Life
Experience the past and different aspects of pioneer life in this fun hands-on program.
Activities include:
- Tour of the museum
- Work in groups to guess the artifacts
- Complete the family wash
- Play an old fashioned game
- Make a yarn doll
Grade Level(s): Grades 2-4
Program Length: 2 hours (this program has options to create ½ day to full day field trip)
Program Cost: $2.00 per student
Options to make it a full day!
- - Tour the Morrow Homestead and compare the similarities and differences between the past and present
- - Have a Community Picnic
- - Make homemade butter
- - Make a homemade toy
- - Learn popular recess games
